An afternoon on a not-uncommon day of skiing: the piste that was still beautifully rippled and grippy in the morning now resembles a mogul slope. Sheets of ice lurk beneath it and the sun is high. Unfortunately spills often happen here. That’s why it’s important to protect what needs to be protected. While a helmet is obligatory at this point, only a few skiers wear a protector.
